A conversation between a lady and an ocean

Girl asked the ocean:

Hey Ocean! you are so full of water, then why with your big tides

try to catch the tiny drops of rain?

The ocean replies:

Look at you,who is talking

you are so full of love for your lover

but still crave for his smile, glance and a small gesture.

the girl has no word to say in return but kept smiling…………

Carnatic music

Though there’s a lot of modern and fusion music in India now a days, still i must say carnatic music has its own place.I am a big fan of Thyagaraja aradhanostsavam,I used to watch it while i was in India. I think not many people know about it,because this particular program used to be aired on DD National,I mean how many people really watch that channel that too in the mornings.I wonder why these so called telugu channels doesn’t promote such a class program. For every festival and on any holiday they never get tired of airing the programs related to new movies, actors and actresses etc. but its so strange they dont give carnatic music its due importance.

In thyagaraja aradhanotsavam its really wonderful to watch a lots of carnatic music biggies and others singing the keerthanas in sync.I am adding few videos related to that in this post, watch and enjoy……………

The introduction about saint thyagaraja can be found in below video for those who doesn’t know anything about him.

tenglish

yeah you read it right, iam introducing you to the new language of this century tenglish, the language that is spoken in andhrapradesh widely by RJS and VJS to start with, which has so comfortably creeped in to our daily life.iam really wondering can we speak pure telugu(minus any english word) even for 5 minutes.an interesting story is i met my long lost 10th class friend through orkut few days ago,we managed to get online on Yahoo messenger.then when we started speaking to each other we were so formal and started talking to each other only in english with a usage of telugu here and there, and the twist is we both were telugu medium students when we were in 10th.how the times changed, then at one point i insisted her that we should speak only in telugu because it just making me feel as if iam speaking to a stranger.why we as a society have changed so much i wonder.but i definitely give credit to the film actors and actresses, then RJS and VJs who have become the role models for the gen X.

by the way people think u are dumb if at all if u manage to speak only telugu.but these VJS when they speak tenglish its so funny.they say”meeru ee program watch chesthaara”.i want to reply them”memu watchlu, radio lo cheyamandi”.what a kind of funny language is that.but i think the channel people always prefer a girl who cant speak telugu, but manges to speak tenglish.then we some times come across few namoonas like that in real life also who just speak as if telugu is not their mother tongue but its a foreign language and they are going to classes for learning it, i never blame them its just a changing trend.few yrs later telugu will be extinct and only tenglish will remain.people of telugu origin will actually go to classes to learn pure telugu.in wikipedia you will find telugu :language that is used in books, tenglish :the spoken language of andhra pradesh.

OK people this was just my observation.but together we all can change this trend may be by just going to our grandparents place frequently and enjoying the actual spoken language of the villages.for me they are to a lot extent still uncontaminated.

“krishna” movie

krishna02_800_241207.jpg

yesterday i watched “krishna” telugu movie starring raviteja  and trisha.the movie was OK overall.songs were too noisy and not at all enjoyable.story was just dumb to say the least.the only saving grace for the movie was jokes.i think if this movie becomes a hit that is just because of the jokes.raviteja looked old  for the hero role.and he was just routine in his acting with his mass dialogues and accent.trisha looked ugly with different kind of makeup.she looked tan, dont know weather it is intentional or natural.the villain looked young and more handsome compared to the hero.i think he is mukuldev, rahul dev’s brother.the song at the climax was test to the patience.few scenes were really illogical, like when raviteja comes back after he has beaten to death and buried in the ground by villain.this kind of scenes off-course we can expect from v.v.vinayak.  sudha and chandramohan just routine in their roles of acting as a scolding brother and pampering sister in law.its an easily forgettable movie and there are no emotional or touching scenes.but we can watch this movie secondtime for the jokes.overall the movie is just OK.my rating for the movie would be 5 on a 10 scale.

kodak moments

1540.jpg
the first raindrop in mid summer.
the warmth of hubby’s hug in peak of the winter.
the smile of a baby with only two teeth grown .
spending a rainy evening with a cup of coffee and ilayaraja song(a mirchi bajji on top of it will be a delight).
a silly fight with brother on a crazy topic.
an emotional moment with mom while leaving to in- law’s place/abroad.
watching a new movie and humming the favourite songs all the time even when you don’t know the lyrics properly.
a sunrise and sunset.
when you taste the first raw mango of the season.

few quotes

dance.jpgi want to start my writing with few of my fav quotes:All knowledge that the world has ever received comes from the mind; the infinite library of the universe is in our own mind.few sentences taken from here and there which have great meaning.

satyameva jayathe —– the truth is going to win ultimately.
sarvejana sukhinobhavanthu————all the people of the universe should be in peace.
vasudaika kutumbam———the total earth is one family
dharmo rakshati rakshitaha———–you save the law and the law in turn will save you.

and the below words are chanted every time when we finish our pooja at my grandfather’s place.

dharm ki jai ho
adharm ka nash ho
praniyo mein sadbhavna ho
vishw ka kalyan ho

translation

truth(law) should prevail

evil should be destroyed

all should have goodthoughts; and as a result

universe should flourish.

i really feel proud that my grandparents and parents have taught us the basics of life through this just 4 lines.
